Everybody Say Eh!

The Poverty Plainsmen said is best, “every day is Canada Day!”

The northern lights are shining bright on this tiny prairie town.
The old dirt road still carries the load for the men who were breaking ground.
Drilling for oil, working the land and herding cattle on an open range.
It’s the life bood of this country, and it’s always been that way.
So hold that maple leaf up high and be proud of your native land.
There was a whole lot of good folks that gave their lives for you and me my friend.
So tell me why the first of July is the only day we celebrate?
Just look around your home town, every day is Canada Day!

Everybody say Eh!

Now the sun she always rises on that blue Atlantic side.
The fishing boats and lighthouse posts still keep their way of life.
Sending out on the water and rails across this big old land.
They keep it all going round and round, from here to there and back again.
So hold that maple leaf up high and be proud of your native land.
There was a whole lot of good folks that gave their lives for you and me my friend.
So tell me why the first of July is the only day we celebrate?
Just look around your home town, every day is Canada Day!

Everybody say Eh!

Now this whole french and english thing ain’t much to talk about.
So let’s get a parlez-vous until the sun goes down.

Everybody say Eh!

So tell me why the first of July is the only day we celebrate?
Just look around your home town, every day is Canada Day!

Everybody say Eh!

Come on, everybody say Eh!

Everybody say Eh!
